What’s Wrong With You
Parker froze every time he asked. She wanted to be one of those people who always had a snappy retort, or who could steer the conversation without anyone noticing that she’d never answered.
All Parker could do was twitch like that bunny and wait until they moved on to something else. It’s not that she didn’t know there was something wrong, she didn’t know the answer any more than Eliot did.
Nate and Hardison bustled off, Sophie directing them and Eliot moved closer, running a hand over her hair, kissing the top of her head, “Hey, you’re okay.”
She nodded.
